My name is Andreas.

For more than twenty years I have worked on accomplishment in large organisations. Sixteen of those at McKinsey, including as a Partner. Later I was with Danske Bank for five years as Senior Vice President of People and Culture.

For much of that time my focus was the content. The strategy, the performance management system, the synergies and efficiencies. That was the way to accomplish something.

Over time I became curious about what was happening in and between people as we accomplished.

And I noticed I was doing two jobs. There was the accomplishment. And there was the job of being the accomplisher. Sometimes the second obscured the first, and the more identified I was, the less I could see it.

I accomplished significant things from there.

I wanted to explore whether it was possible to do just one. Accomplishment without being the accomplisher.

It was not a question I could answer the way I had learned strategy or operations. It became a practice instead. Noticing what was happening in my own experience while accomplishing with others.

What I am working on now is developing that capability in myself and with others. Seeing what I add, want and arrange while it is happening, alongside holding a high standard for the content itself. That work happens in rooms where consequential decisions are being made, with the people making them.

This website is my current read. If you see it differently, I would want to understand your read.
